Laser Cutting in Converting

Laser cutting in the converting industry enables the highly precise and cost-effective processing of sheet-like materials such as films, metals, plastics, and textiles. Sonplas’ innovative laser cutting systems produce precise, burr-free cut edges – contact-free, without tool wear or material deformation. The technology is used in applications such as metalworking, medical technology, the plastics and textile industries, the paper and solar sectors, as well as in fuel cells and printed electronics. Our laser systems enable customized notching, slitting, and separation processes – automated, efficient, and at the highest quality level.

HydroEROsive Machining (HERO)

Our in-house developed HydroEROsive Machining (HERO) enables the targeted deburring, radiusing and calibration of internal geometries. An abrasive medium is passed through the component under defined pressure conditions.
The process is suitable for a wide range of materials and meets the highest demands in terms of surface quality, cleanliness and flow accuracy.
