Zapp manufactures wire, bar, strip, profiles, and CAD/CAM discs made from stainless steel, titanium, nickel, and cobalt-chromium alloys, precisely tailored to your requirements. Whatever medical market you are focusing, ophthalmic, dental, orthopedic, surgical, minimally invasive or something different, Zapp is your partner to develop with. With 325 years experience in stainless steel and more than 50 metallurgists and engineers we developed a portfolio with a wide range of grades.
Zapp fine wire
We offer fine and ultra-fine wires with tight tensile strength ranges, minimal diameter tolerances, and a bright surface finish. Supplied in coils or spools, pre-straightend or cut to length, but always accordingly to your requirements. For manufacturing your vascular devices like guidewires or catheters, we deliver established medical stainless steel grades such as AISI 302 and AISI 304V. For some of our customers, it is particularly important that we are able to deliver within the shortest possible time frames, thanks to our worldwide stocks.
Since 325 years, customers rely on Zapp’s products. Especially for minimally invasive applications, we work together globally on solutions to meet your specific mechanical and chemical requirements with dimensions down to Ø 0.01 mm.
Zapp STR – pre-straightend wire
You are looking for pre-straightend wire with a consistent straightness right off spool? We successfully developed our STR wire – straight, torque, relaxed. Our Star wire combines the best features for products like guidewires. For many of our customers, pre-straightened wire eliminates the need for a straightening process, which can be particularly challenging with small diameters. In addition to helping our customers reduce costs, our development efforts focused on enhancing the guidewires’ pushability, pull-force resistance, torquability, and deep taper grinding capability.
